March 20th, 2010 - Appox 100 runners started the Little River Bridge Run with 4 from Union. on a day with temps in the low 80's and a hard wind here are the results.
March 13th, 2010 - Over 160 people ran in the Zebra Run 5k (3.1) with 5 runners from Union
March 6th, 2010 - Over 2050 people ran the Reedy River Run 5k (3.1 Miles) with 4 from Union.
February 27th, 2010 - Two runners from Union participated in the Miles of Smiles Road Race. Over 200 runners started the 3.1 mile race. Stephanie Kitchens finished with a time of 28.37 which was good for 83rd place overall and 2nd place female 30-39. David Kitchens, age 50, finished with a time of 19:36 which was good for 5th place overall and 1st place 50 and over. February 20th, 2010 - Caitlin Schier participated in the Green Valley Road Race. Approx 280 started the 10 mile race. Caitlin, age 25, finished with a time of 1:07:17 which was good for 30th place overall and 3rd female overall. Complete results at http://sc.milesplit.us/meets/66341/results/113079
January 23rd, 2010 - Stephanie Kitchens participated in the Greenville Down Town Run. Over 1800 runners started the race. Stephanie, age 35 finished in 930th place with a time of 28:44 Complete results at http://sc.milesplit.us/meets/59107/results/111437
December 12th, 2009 - Over One Thousand runners participated in the 32nd annual Kiawah Island Marathon. Eddie Adams was the lone Union County runner and finished with a time of 3:45:23 which was good for 243rd place overall and 16th in the 50-54 age bracket. Complete Race Results
December 12th, 2009 - The 10th Annual Laurens County YMCA Reindeer
Run started with 160 runners/walkers, 7 of them from Union. This 3.1mile
race is always a very cold one, this year the temperature was around freezing.

October 10th, 2009 - On Saturday September 10th the first annual I Recycle Run 1/2 (13.1mile) Marathon & 5k(3.1mile) was held in Spartanburg. There was over 500 people that started the races with 13 from Union finishing the 1/2 marathon & 2 from Union finishing the 5k. The day was hot & humid & both courses were hilly. August 8th, 2009 - Amy Austin of Union participated in the Back to School 5K road race in Duncan, S. C. Amy had a time of 31.26 for her first road race ever. There were 113 runners in the race. Complete Race Results
July 25th, 2009 - Josh Cain and Bill Cain of Union participated in the Rainday 5K Race in Waynesburg, PA. There were over a 100 runners in the race. Josh was the over all winner with a time of 18.19. Bill Cain placed 21st over all with a time of 20.30, 2nd place in his age group. Complete Race Results
July 11th, 2009 - David Sinclair and Dale Wendel ran in Peach Festival 10K Road Race held in Gaffney, SC on July 11,009. There were appox. 86 runners in the race. David Sinclair's time was 44.58 placing him 18th over all. Dale Wendel's time was 46.08 placing him 24th over all. Dale also won his age group (50-54) - Complete Race Results

October 26th, 2008 - Maurice Bevis and Shep Bevis ran in the Marine Corps marathon on Sunday, October 26th, 2008. Shep finished in 4:17:27 and Maurice's time was 4:48:40. Complete race results.

October 25th, 2008 - Members of the Brat Pack running club participated in the 36th annual Governor's Cup 1/2 marathon, 8k & 4mile walk. In the 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles) Caitlin Schier, 24yrs old of Union, was the 1st female finisher with a time of 1:32.51- 17th place overall. David Kitchens, 49yrs old, had a time of 1:32.52 - 18th place overall. Kevin Shetley, 35yrs old, 2:01.30 - 264th place overall. Stephanie Kitchens, 33yrs old , 2:37.54 - 500th place overall. In the 8K (5.2 miles) Michael Kitchens, 16yrs old, 34:44. He was the 2nd place male 1-19 - 11th place overall. In the 4 mile walk, Karen Erskine 24 yrs old, had a time of 1:01. Complete race results.
October 25th, 2008 - Dale Wendale ran in the Spinx Run Fest Marathon in Greenville, SC and finished with a time of 3:50:59 which was good for 56th place overall. Complete race results.
October 17th, 2008 - Robert Alexander and Dr. Chris McWhorter, both of Union, SC ran the Chicago Marathon on October 12th, 2008. Robert completed the marathon with a time of 4 hours 15 minutes and 29 seconds. That was good for 9,323rd place out of approximately 35,000 runners. October 17th, 2008 - Scott Roark of Union, SC ran in the Dupont Marathon in Hendersonville, NC on October 11th, 2008. His time of 4 hours 47 minutes and 8 seconds was good for 90th place out of 122 runners. Click here for complete results.
October 17th, 2008 - Terry Davis of Union and Henry Sparrow formerly of Union participated in the Ray Tanner Home Run races in Columbia, SC on Saturday, October 11th, 2008. Terry ran the 12K in 1 hour 5 minutes 11 seconds and finished 101st out of 200 runners. Henry ran the 5K in 29 minutes 5 seconds and finished 38th out of 122 runners. Click here for complete results.
